Brett Martin is a tireless Canadian comic, touring across Canada at festivals, theatre shows, and college campuses. He has appeared on CTV, The Comedy Network, and Sirius XM Satellite Radio, and this weekend he stops into Lafflines in New Westminster. Tickets: $20

2) Chug-A-Lug Comedy at Yagger’s Downtown, Every 1st and 3rd Monday at 9 pm
Hosted by Vancouver favourites Stefan MacNeil, Brad Dorion and Jenny Toews, Chug-A-Lug Comedy features top amateur and profesional stand up comedians.  The inaugural show at Yagger’s Downtown also features improv from members of The Sunday Service. Tickets: $5

3) OK Tinder at Vancouver TheatreSports League, every Wednesday at 9:15 pm
Vancouver TheatreSports pokes fun at Vancouver’s notorious dating scene with OK Tinder – Swipe Right Comedy. Improvisers ‘match up’ every Wednesday night to turn the good, the bad and the ludicrous of Vancouver’s dating scene into 60 minutes of side-splitting laughter. Tickets: $5

4) Bonus Stage 2 at Fox Cabaret, 7 pm on August 11
Vancouver’s celebration of video game culture and community is back with another round of comedy, burlesque, and live music. Come get your nerd on and enjoy comedy from Geeks versus Nerds Vancouver and The Fictionals, burlesque by Dezi Desire and Roe Butts, and music by missingNo and The Runaway Four. Tickets: $15

5) The HERO SHOW at China Cloud, 9  pm on August 11
The HERO SHOW is back for another electrifying night of solo sketch comedy at the China Cloud. Come recharge your comedy batteries with host Cam Macleod and jump start your imaginations with Kyle Fines, Amanda Jane Porter, Shawn Norman, and more. Tickets: $10
